A note from CEO Steve Brandon to start the year!

As we begin a new calendar year, I’d like to take a moment to thank the Honda FCU staff for all the hard work and dedication they demonstrated this past year. HFCU serves over 64,000 members located across the United States and even in several foreign countries. We employ over 150 staff members spread across nine branches, five states and three time zones, ensuring that all of our members’ financial needs are met and their personal information is kept secure. Our employees’ tremendous efforts are reflected in the loyalty our members have for HFCU and in the products and services utilized every day, and 2017 was no exception.

Our new EMV chip-enabled credit card was distributed in April 2017. This was a large, complex project that involved almost every department at HFCU. By the end of June 2017, we sent out a total of 32,718 chip credit cards to members. We are currently working on issuing EMV chip-enabled debit cards, which are scheduled to be distributed to members by June 2018. Chip cards provide an added layer of security and protection against fraud.

2017 brought many other changes as well. Our Honda South Carolina Branch Office was relocated and remodeled and now provides members with easier access, additional space and a fresh new look while still providing the products and services members expect from HFCU. This past year also saw the unveiling of a new HFCU logo. Our new logo provides us with better alignment amongst all of the Honda companies. HFCU now has a look and feel that is representative of our members and the Honda Family.

2018 will bring enhanced products and services as well. We will add a “Forgotten Password” reset functionality to our online banking system, which will be available later this month. Our new website is currently under construction, and with our new Honda brand, it will provide a fresh look and feel to tie in with our new logo. The website will also have new functionality such as greater use of icons for main navigation to provide a more intuitive site, collapsible menus that allows us to display information in an organized fashion, and an ATM Locator that allows our ATMs to be displayed on a map.

None of these amazing accomplishments would be possible without the help of our dedicated team of professionals. Thank you to the HFCU staff and thank you to our members for your continued loyalty and support.
